The question as the Sprint cars rolled into Bristol was whether my form would continue at Nascar's toughest short track.
In the race I was comfortably holding the lead when on lap 32 I had a spin! My first for a very long time. I was at the back of the pack when the race restarted. By lap 83 when I stopped for fuel I'd got back to 5th. When I came out of the pits I had 57 laps to get back to the front - I was confident I could do it. I turned out to be wrong as on lap 132 I received a black flag for rough driving due in part to the traffic I was constantly in. After the drive through I managed to climb back to 14th.
My fastest racing lap was 16.354 just outside my qualifying time.
I led 57 of the 150 laps.
I led 57 of the 150 laps.
I was now 2nd in the championship 83 points behind the leader.
